The Status Bar, which is located at the bottom of the main window, provides information about the operations that you perform in STEP 7-Micro/WIN 32.
Editor information is displayed when you work in editing mode. The status bar displays, as appropriate, the following information:
·A brief status description.
·The current network number.
·The cursor location (line and column for the STL editor; row and column for the LAD or FBD editor).
·The current editing mode: Insert or Overstrike.
·Icons that indicate the status of background tasks: for example, saving or printing.
Online status information is available when you turn on either Program Status or Chart Status. The status bar displays, as appropriate, the following information:
·The local hardware configuration that is being used for communications.
·The baud rate.
·The communication address for the local station and the remote station.
·The PLC operating mode.
·The presence of a fatal or non-fatal error, if any exists.
·A force icon, if at least one address is forced in the PLC.
Progress information is shown when the operation underway takes a long time to complete. The status bar offers a description of the operation and a progress indicator bar.
