You can use shortcut keys in STEP 7-Micro/WIN to make a variety of tasks more efficient.

1.Navigation Keys

Key Sequence Action
HOME Moves cursor to first column of the same row
END Moves cursor to the last column of the same row
PAGE UP Moves one screen up vertically
PAGE DOWN Moves one screen down vertically
LEFT ARROW Moves cursor one cell to the left
RIGHT ARROW Move cursor one cell to the right
UP ARROW Moves cursor one cell up
DOWN ARROW Moves cursor one cell down
CTRL + HOME Moves cursor to the first cell of the first network
CTRL + END Moves cursor to the last cell of the last network
F1 Help on the current cell instruction
CTRL + PAGE UP Displays the next POU. Moves in leftward order through POU tabs
CTRL + PAGE DOWN Displays the next POU. Moves in rightward order through POU tabs
TAB When you select an instruction with boolean (bit value) parameters, the TAB key moves the selection to the next boolean parameter on that instruction (FBD only)

2.Editing

Key Sequence Action
CTRL + X When series of networks is selected, cuts series; when cursor is on network title, cuts entire network; when cursor is on cell, cuts content of cell
CTRL + C When series of networks is selected, copies series; when cursor is on network title, copies entire network; when cursor is on cell, copies content of cell
CTRL + V When series of networks is selected, pastes series; when cursor is on network title, pastes network; when cursor is on cell, pastes cell. Pastes selection before/above current location of cursor
F2 Edits current cell's mnemonic or operand
SPACEBAR Edits current cell's mnemonic or operand
ENTER Edits current cell's mnemonic or operand
CTRL + LEFT ARROW Drops a horizontal line and moves the cursor one cell to the left
CTRL + RIGHT ARROW Drops a horizontal line and moves the cursor one cell to the right
CTRL + UP ARROW Drops a vertical line and moves the cursor one cell up
CTRL + DOWN ARROW Drops a vertical line and moves the cursor one cell down
DELETE Deletes current cell, network, or selection of networks
BACKSPACE Moves cursor one cell to the left and deletes current cell
SHIFT + LEFT ARROW Selects current network and moves cursor over one cell to left
SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW Selects current network and moves cursor over one cell to right
SHIFT + HOME Selects current network and places cursor at first cell of current row
SHIFT + END Selects current network and places cursor at last cell of current row
SHIFT + DOWN ARROW Selects from current network downward
SHIFT + UP ARROW Selects from current network upward
SHIFT + PAGE UP Selects a page of adjacent networks from the current network upward
SHIFT + PAGE DOWN Selects a page of adjacent networks from the current network downward
CTRL + SHIFT + HOME Selects all adjacent networks from cursor to top of POU
CTRL + SHIFT + END Selects all adjacent networks from cursor to bottom of POU
CTRL + A Selects all networks in a POU
F11 Change input to negated input/toggle back (FBD, boolean values only)
CTRL + F11 Change input or output to immediate type/toggle back (FBD, boolean values only)
PLUS SIGN Adds an extra input parameter (FBD, AND/OR instructions only)
MINUS SIGN Deletes an extra input parameter (FBD, AND/OR instructions only)
CTRL + Y Toggles between symbolic and absolute addressing mode
CTRL + T Display Symbol Information Tables for each network

3.Zooming

CTRL + PLUS SIGN Zooms in from Number pad only
CTRL + MINUS SIGN Zooms out from Number pad only

4.Dropping Instructions

Key Sequence Action
CTRL + Y Toggles between symbolic and absolute addressing mode
CTRL + T Display Symbol Information Tables for each network of a LAD or FBD program

Note: For LAD/ FBD programs, you can choose the menu command Tools>Options and click on the Editing tab to view symbolic addresses only, or to view both symbolic and absolute addresses, when symbolic addressing mode is enabled.
