·Select the View > System Block menu command.

·Click on the System Block icon in the Instruction Tree.

Click on the Input Filters tab to set properties. Enter new properties and then download the modifications to the PLC.

You can filter digital input signals by setting a input delay time. When an input state change occurs, the input must remain at the new state for the duration of the delay time in order to be accepted as valid. The filter rejects noise impulses and forces input lines to stabilize before the data is accepted.

PLC 210 does not support input filters.

PLC 212 supports filters with delay times from 0.3 to 13.1 milliseconds.

PLCs 214, 215, and 216 support filters with delay times from 0.2 to 8.7 milliseconds.

PLCs 221, 222, 224, 226, and 226XM support filters with delay times from 0.2 to 12.8 milliseconds.

To set an input delay:

1.Select the time of the delay from the listbox beside the desired inputs. (Each selection sets the delay time for a range of four inputs.)

2.Click on the OK button to enter the selections.

The setting becomes effective when you download the System Block.
